April 8, 2015 - representatives of the Employers' Federation of Automotive Industry took part in a roundtable, which was organized by the Employers' Federation of Ukraine with the support of the International Labour Organization.
In the discussion of the right to strike and lockout participated A. Miroshnichenko, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Kolyshko R., director of labor potential development and corporate social responsibility, Globa D., representative of the Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine. International Labour Organization were presented by Christian Hess, Dragan Radic and Matthias Thorn, Advisor of the International Organization of Employers, and other members of the Employers' Federation of Ukraine.
First of all, there was presented an overview of the legislation of Ukraine concerning strikes and analysis of the main legal bans realization of this right. During the discussion, D. Globa introduced the interesting legal precedent of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of V. Tymoshenko against Ukraine concerning the prohibition of strikes.
