What can happen if car industry stops

Recent months for the automotive industry have not been successful. In May there was a record drop in sales of 80%. What to expect Ukrainian car industry, AUTO-Consulting was told by the honorary president of the corporation "UkrAuto" Tariel Vasadze. 

According to him, in April under pressure from two fractions (Udar, Svoboda) and the Cabinet of Ministers, Verkhovna Rada on a wave of populism, canceled recycling collection, which was at least some protection to domestic production. Immediately after this was introduced increased by 2 times the excise duty on all cars. Interdepartmental Commission further reduced by one-third special duties on foreign cars, which made it possible to stop the decline in the auto industry in 2013. Ukraine must pay a recycling fee for supply in Russia, and their factories supply us their products without taxes. According to Vasadze, someone just handed Ukrainian market to Russia. And now there is a military conflict. Vasadze also recognizes that there may be a full stop of ZAZ. 

According to Vasadze, Ukrainian car industry has to survive in the most difficult economic conditions. He hopes that new Government will understand the importance of preserving jobs, the development of existing industries and creating conditions for the emergence of new ones.
