Ukrainian car industry: What to Expect in 2015

In January, Ukrainian car manufacturers, according to association "Ukravtoprom" the industry produced only 352 cars almost 10 times less than a year ago and 30% less than in December 2014. Almost two-thirds of production - 224 cars (to 12.8%  in December and to 93% last year) came to "light vehicles". They were released in January only by one plant Oleg Boyaryn's "Eurocar", who is engaged in Skoda brand.

Other major automakers Ukrainian YTD idle: Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant (ZAZ) Tariel Vasadze, "Bogdan" Oleg Svynarchuk, Kremenchug car assembly plant (KrASZ), part of the "AIS" did not released any car. KrASZ stopped production in August last year, "AIS" refocused on Chinese Geely. Corporation "Bogdan" ceased to produce of passenger cars in June 2014 and since then produces buses and commercial machines.
