Preferential duty for Ukraine on imported cars from the EU acts at import is no more than 45,000 cars a year. But since we have 45,000 cars almost every year, even in this crisis year, after 10 years duty likely will remain at 10%.
Recall the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU provides for the reduction of duties on European cars, but there are a number of nuances. Before signing the agreement with the EU, lobbyists Ukrainian automakers established favorable conditions for themselves. So, the agreement provides for a phased reduction of duties on new cars and limit the EU import European cars. After the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, will be maintained only a ten percent rate, and then every year it will decline by 1 percent. Thus, by 2025, the fee will be equal to zero.
