Fiat Chrysler: the new home of the famous car manufacturer

The largest Italian company - manufacturer of cars Fiat - leaves Italy after 115 years after its founding. At the meeting of shareholders  of Fiat in Turin American Association with Chrysler was approved by a majority of votes. The new company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA) will be registered in the Netherlands, will have its headquarters in the UK, the main offering of shares will occur on the New York Stock Exchange, extra - in Milan, reports Bloomberg. 

Despite the fact that the majority of votes agrees with the merger, it could still be derailed. At the shareholders meeting only 84% voted in favor of the merger, another 8% - against, and this is more than enough to derail the deal. Those who voted against can sell their shares now. Fiat will buy their them for 7,727 euros per share. But if the total amount of these payments will exceed 500 million euros, the merger will be torn down. As explained Marchionne, 500 million euros is an amount that he is willing to pay. But if the deal is derailed, Marchionne will make a second attempt, but merger will be delayed for a very long time.
