Automakers will ask the Prime Minister about the new measures to help the industry

In late November, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting in Naberezhnye Chelny on the development of car industry. The agenda is prepared by Minpromtorgom, but the Ministry has already discussed beforehand with the automakers last Thursday. Automakers interested in three topics: government support of the market, export and development of a new development strategy for the automotive industry, said the source.

The companies are especially concerned with the topic of cars recycling. They propose to extend it for three years. It will protect the market from collapsing and will help a long-term planning. Most likely, state scrappage programs will be extended, but rather for six months or a year, says analyst "VTB Capital" Vladimir Bespalov.
