Excise tax for modified cars will revive the market of new cars

Government initiates the spread of the excise tax on cars, converted from cargo. The relevant bill Cabinet "On Amendments to the Tax Code and some other laws of Ukraine (regarding the tax reform)" registered in the parliament. Adoption of the document is expected in the government should make it easier to do business in Ukraine. Not all of the automotive market share that confidence. 

Today in Ukraine monthly imported about 3 thousand trucks (mostly used), which are subsequently re-equipped in cars, says CEO of AUTO-Consulting information-analytical group Oleg Omelnitsky. Be reconstructed in the main cargo vans and pickup trucks, such as the Mercedes-Benz Vito, Volkswagen Transporter, Peugeot Partner and Volkswagen Caddy. 

Today on imported passenger cars operating rate of excise duty depends on their age, engine size and type of fuel used. For example, in a car under the age of five years and the amount of the gasoline engine 2.2-3 thousand cube the general excise tax is paid in the amount of € 4,79-6,54 thousand, and over this - € 7,2-9,8 thousand. Diesel version of the car with an engine capacity of 1.5-2.5 thousand cube in the age of five will be charged excise tax in the amount of € 2,86-4,77 thousand, and for that, the older, - € 3,27-5,45 thousand.
