Position of the Federation on charging the fee for the first registration of the vehicle to excise tax

As you know, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in June this year, has stepped up work on improving tax legislation. 

In developing the idea of ​​changing the tax system, to ensure a balanced tax burden on businesses today, July 14, 2014, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine was published draft "On Approval of the Concept of reforming the tax system". 

Employers' Federation of Automobile Industry does not support the Government's initiative to abolish the fee for the first registration of the car and making it a part of the amount of excise tax due to the fact that it imposes an additional financial burden on producers, importers (auto dealers) and introduces an additional burden on operations in the form of additional tax burden amounting to an increase in excise duty. EFAI stands against increasing the tax burden on producers, importers (auto dealers), given the additional costs involved financial resources for businesses and as a result, the cumulative effect of increasing the ultimate cost of a car for the consumer.
