Gross external debt of Ukraine in 2014 decreased by $ 15.77 billion, or 11.1% - up to $ 126.31, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
At the same time due to the devaluation of the hryvnia and downs of the economy, the ratio of gross external debt to GDP ratio has worsened over the past year from 75.4% of GDP to 96.5% of GDP.
The regulator said that the external debt of the Ukrainian banking sector at the end of 2014 was $ 18.7 billion, falling by $ 3.8 billion, or 16.9% due to a decrease in long-term liabilities, including loans - $ 1.7 billion, bonds - at 0.7 billion, deposits and balances of non-residents - at $ 1.3 billion.
