The total number of registered vehicles on alternative fuels in the EU in the first quarter increased by 28.8%

Sales of new motor vehicles in the European Union in January-March 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, increased by 117.5% - to 24.63 thousand from 11.304 thousand units. It was stated in the report of the Association of European Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA).

Norway and Switzerland sales of electric vehicles increased by 92.1% - to 33.835 thousand units.

The total number of registered vehicles on alternative fuels, including electric cars, hybrid cars and cars on gas in the EU in the first quarter of 2015 increased by 28.8% - up to 144.421 thousand units.
