VW will invest 85 billion in the struggle for supremacy in carmarket

German group Volkswagen AG, Europe's largest carmaker, will invest 85.6 billion euros in the creation of new models, technologies and construction of plants in the years 2015-2019, to come out on top among the world's automakers.

Average investment will amount 17,1 billion euros compared with 16.8 billion euros in the previous budget.

Two-thirds of total assets (64.3 billion euros) will be used to improve efficiency of cars and environmentally friendly production.

More than half of the investment (56%) intended for Germany.
