Volvo can start production of cars in Russia

Volvo which is engaged in the production of trucks in Russia, may start production of passenger cars. It was reported by the newspaper "Izvestia" referring to the president of the Russian representation of Volvo Cars Michael Malmsten.

According to him, the company is currently preparing a feasibility study on this initiative. Malmsten stressed that there are no concrete decisions on this issue by now.

The newspaper notes that in the case of a positive result the producation can be started at "Avtotor" or GAS left by GM.
