Volkswagen introduced a new product

Volkswagen introduced a new product for the European market in Potsdam. Volkswagen chairman Martin Winterkorn said the new Passat is a premium car with no extra cost. 

Passat - the third best selling model after the VW Jetta and Golf for the Volkswagen Group. According to JATO Dynamics, in 2013 worldwide were sold about 759 thousand cars. The company itself called the Passat "first number" in sales - 1.1 million for 2013, taking into account revisions of the Chinese and American markets. From 1973 have been sold worldwide more than 22 million units of the model. 

According to the company, prices in Europe start from 25,875 euros for the sedan and 25,950 euros per wagon (about 500 euros more expensive than the current generation, but for 1000 euros reduced allowance for touring). Sales in the markets will begin in the IV quarter of 2014.
