Volkswagen plans to build new plants in China

According to news agency Bloomberg, Volkswagen plans to invest 2 billion euros in the construction of two new plants in the cities of Qingdao and Tianjin. 

According to the head of the concern Martin Winterkorn, China has become their largest and most important market. VW Group car sales in China for the first five months of this year increased by 18% compared with the previous year and amounted 1.51 million units. Winterkorn said that sales in 2014 will exceed 3.5 million vehicles.
