Volkswagen has overtaken Toyota and General Motors
International authoritative analytical agency Focus2Move published the results of sales in the automotive market in 110 countries.
So, at the end of 2014 a concern Volkswagen Group has become the largest car manufacturer in the world. German auto giant has increased its share in the global car market to 11.6%, ahead of the first Japanese company Toyota, which topped last five years. 9,910,000 cars Volkswagen spread throughout the world - in this case we are talking about passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. And Toyota has sold 9.81 million cars. Thus, Germans sales exceeded sales of Japanese by 1%. And all for 2014 Volkswagen increased sales by 5%.
Total sales in the world markets in 2014 amounted to 86.5 million passenger cars, 2.5 million cars more than in 2013.
