Production of cars in Russia in September dropped by 18.1%

Production of cars in Russia in the first 9 months of 2014 decreased by 6.2% compared to the same period last year - up to 1.3 million units, according to the Federal State Statistics Service. In January-September, the country produced 113,000 trucks, which is 21.5% lower than a year earlier. Production of buses during this period decreased by 24.5% to 29,600. 

According to the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses, in September sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 20.1% to 197,233 units.
