Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on local elections

For this decision voted 257 deputies. 

According to the law, elections in the occupied territories of Donbass and the Crimea won't be held on October 25 because of the aggression of Russia.

The law provides gender quotas among election participants (at least 30% of women).

Election of mayors in the cities, where the number of voters equal or bigger than 90,000 will be held by the majority system of absolute majority (at least 50%+1 voters).
