Ukraine is preparing to introduce an additional duty on cars from Russia

According to AUTO-Consulting, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade on the results of investigation against imports of cars from the Russian Federation concluded on the need to introduce protective duties on a number of vehicles. Additional tax in the amount of 10-17% exposed to the majority of the positions of the Russian car industry. Moreover, not only the traditional VAZs and UAZs, but foreign cars, produced at Russian factories and shipped to Ukraine.

Recall that in September 2014 the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine launched an investigation into imports of passenger cars to Ukraine  from the Russian Federation on the complaint of the Association of Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers' Ukravtoprom "as well as on the basis of the report of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on the results of import procedures in Ukraine passenger cars from Russia.

The complaint stated that the Russian manufacturers of passenger cars used by private benefits from the subsidies provided by the state authorities of the Russian Federation for the production, sale, processing, transportation and / or export of passenger cars, in particular in the framework of the "Automotive Industry" and "The development of industry and improvement competitiveness" of the state program of the Russian Federation.
