Turkey and Ukraine will continue active negotiations to establish a free trade zone. It was stated on a meeting of the strategic planning group by Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu said that trade turnover of 6.7 billion US dollars between Ukraine and Turkey in 2013 was below the potential of the two countries. In addition, the Turkish minister said that during the meeting also were discussed the issues of energy and the interaction of Turkey and Ukraine in world organizations. Ministers also separately addressed the issue of the Crimean Tatars, who are now subjected to the pressure in the Crimea.
