Three car factories closed down in Russia

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant "UAZ" – one of the automotive giants – is  planning to stop the production line for two weeks. A similar decision was taken by "General Motors" (Saint Petersburg) for a five days period. The factory "AvtoVAZ" suspended for five days the production of models Lada Granta and Lada Kalina.

The production at "UAZ" was completely suspended for two weeks. People work part-time. Zaporozhye Motor Factory ("ZMF"), which provides engines for "UAZ", put similar restrictions.

 "General Motors" Plant ( Saint Petersburg) during the period from February, 24 to March, 28, plans to stop their production lines due to a significant slump in sales of its cars in the Russian Federation.
