Ukrainian-Russian trade conflicts can lead to the first dispute between two countries that would consider the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Thus it can be initiated not by Ukraine that has problems due to restrictions on the import of food products to Russia.
Director of Department of Trade Negotiations Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Medvedkov stated that Russia is ready to submit to WTO because of the implementation in Ukraine of anti-dumping duty on imports of nitrogen fertilizer - ammonium nitrate.
This protective duty acted before, but in June this year, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade not only extended it for another 5 years, but increased from 11.91% to 36.03%.
According to the decision, which came into force on July 8, anti-dumping duties set out in the following amounts: for MHK "Evrokhim" and other Russian manufacturers - 36.03% (was 10.78%), for plant "Dorohobuzh" they increased from 9.76 % to 20.51%.
