Renault built a plant in Algeria

French automaker Renault has opened its own factory in Algeria as it's the largest African state.

Thus, the company intends to fight with the weakness of the European car market by focusing on areas previously considered peripheral, in particular in Africa.

Renault also opened a factory in neighboring Morocco in 2013 where 100 000 vehicles were produced, 90% of which went for export.
