NBU has improved the forecast fall in GDP of Ukraine

National Bank of Ukraine has improved the forecast fall of GDP at the end of 2014 by 2 percentage points from 8% to 7%. It was stated at the briefing by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontareva.

 

Chairman of the National Bank explained why the regulator has improved its forecast. Firstly, the outlook for agriculture has also improved. Secondly, due to the fact that the fall of the industry was not as strong as previously expected, said Gontareva. Thirdly, began the growth of production in metallurgy, including the area of ATO.
