The IMF has called condition for the increase funding of Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund will increase funding for Ukraine in case of providing stabilization of the situation in the country. It was said in an interview with French newspaper Le Monde by the head of the IMF, Christine Lagarde.

As recalled by the head of the fund, in spring 2014 in the calculation of the possible schemes to provide financial assistance to Ukraine, IMF experts proceeded from the fact that the conflict in the east of the country will end no later than autumn. "Today, these hypotheses are no longer in force. Now we are working on other options, in particular, with a four-year extension of the period of time allowed Ukraine to carry out reforms," - said Lagarde.

The amount of funding for which would have been expected in Kiev during this period as "likely to be somewhat higher than expected," added the director of the IMF, while stressing that it will depend on the military-political factors.
