The crisis in Ukraine will have influence on Volkswagen Group

Volkswagen Group sold 9.7 million vehicles worldwide in 2013. This year a number is projected to increase to 10 million. According to the plan, the concern should have reached this point by 2018.

In March, 2014 the Volkswagen Group was held an annual conference for the media representatives where assisted CFO Hans Dieter Pecs. According to him, the instability of the economic situation, the crisis in Ukraine and Crimea position does not allow Volkswagen to develop a business plan for Eastern Europe. Thus, in 2013 150 thousand vehicles sold to Russia and gained the sixth place for Volkswagen in the car market.
