Imports of cars in 9 months dropped by 20%, exports rose slightly

Deliveries of passenger cars in Russia for 9 months 2014 totaled 537,900 vehicles, totaling $ 10.47 billion against 669,900 units at $ 12.75 billion the previous year (a decrease in quantitative terms by 19.7%), according to the Federal Customs service (FCS).

The imports of cars from foreign countries decreased by 17.6% to 510,600 vehicles, totaling $ 10.26 billion, from CIS imports fell by 45.5% and amounted to 27,300 vehicles worth $ 210 million.

Imports of trucks during this period decreased by 19.5% to 50 600 units for $ 1.64 billion. Of the CIS countries were imported 48,600 trucks (-20.3%) in the amount of $ 1.39 billion, from CIS countries - 2,000 vehicles (+ 5.3%) in the amount of $ 249 million.

Exports of cars from Russia in January - September 2014 increased by 1.6% and amounted to 96,300 units. totaling $ 1.11 billion. In the CIS countries were delivered 93,000 units. (+ 1.2%) in the amount of $ 1.07 billion in foreign countries - 3300 pcs. (+ 13.8%) to $ 42.7 million.
