Hyundai Elantra became one of most popular models in history

Hyundai has sold over ten million Elantras, which is offered in some markets under the name Avante. Thus, Elantra joined the list of the most popular cars in history, which includes Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Volkswagen Beetle and Golf, and Ford T and F-Series.

Sales of Hyundai Elantra, which replaced five generations, started in 1990. On average, the South Korean brand produced 420 thousand Elantra a year, 1110 a day and 45 per hour. In 24 years the model has received numerous awards, including the title of "North American Car of the Year", as well as the best car of South Africa and Canada (all titles got the last generation model, according to the results of 2012).
