Volkswagen Group has suspended the contract assembly of cars at GAZ

Production of Volkswagen and Skoda in Nizhniy Novgorod at the facilities of GAZ stopped from 1 to 10 July, reports the press service of the brand. On GAZ facilities "Volkswagen Group Rus" can produce up to 132 thousand cars per year.

The company GAZ in Nizhniy Novgorod "Volkswagen Group Rus" by contract manufactures the models Skoda Yeti, Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Octavia. According to the newspaper "Vedomosti", the production of cars stopped from 1 to 10 July. Production will be resumed after the weekend on 13 of July. Workers recieved 2/3 of salary during this break.
