Ford is also preparing to stop factories in Russia

Ford Sollers is considering stopping for two months the conveyor of the plant in Vsevolozhsk (late March) and for three weeks - the enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny. It was reported by "Kommersant", citing a source familiar with the situation.

At the same time, a new production plan is not approved and will be discussed at the next Board of Directors, the date of which has not been disclosed. In Ford Sollers was reported that it "continues to adjust its production plan according to the current demand."

Stopping of the conveyor can probably be explained by lower sales of Ford in Russia. According to the Association of European Businesses, Ford sales last year in Russia decreased by 38% to 66 thousand cars (in a falling market as a whole by 10%). While sales of Ford Focus fell last year by 60% to 28 thousand units.
