German company BMW will help the Mexican auto industry with $ 2.2 billion. Half of this amount has already been spent on the construction of a plant in the city of San Luis Potosi. The plant will start working in 2019. There will be 1,500 employees.
Mexico was chosen as part of the North American free trade area (NAFTA). This will easily work with the U.S. and Canada.
Germans are also going to invest in the development of the plant in Spartanburg (SC) in a joint venture with SGL Group in Washington State.
